HONG KONG, 9 February 2018. In collaboration with the Overseas Singaporean Unit, the Singapore Consulate-General in Hong Kong hosted the annual Chinese New Year reception at Park Lane Hotel, inviting members of the Singaporean community and friends of Singapore in Hong Kong to catch up with each other ahead of the festivities. Apart from mouth-watering Singaporean food, the attendees were also treated to a screening of Royston Tan's short film "Old Friends", which chronicled the relationship between Singaporeans and their favourite hawker haunts.
Speaking at the event, Consul-General Foo Teow Lee updated the attendees on our relations with Hong Kong and China, and the work of the Consulate over the past year. Consul-General Foo also took the opportunity to thank the Overseas Singaporean community organisations in Hong Kong which have worked closely with the Consulate in bringing Singaporeans living in Hong Kong closer together in their home away from home.
The Singapore Consulate-General wishes everybody a Happy and Prosperous Year of the Dog!
